Getting Started

Install and Activate Fuzzy

Install the Fuzzy Product Filter plugin, activate it with WooCommerce, and confirm the first setup path.

Updated May 25, 2026SEO-ready

This is the very first step. By the end you will have Fuzzy installed and active, with its filter builder visible in your WordPress admin. You will not configure any filters yet — that is the next tutorial.

Before you start

  • WordPress is installed and you can sign in to the admin area.
  • WooCommerce is installed and active.
  • Your store has at least a few published products with a category, a price, or
  • an attribute, so a filter has something to work with.

Steps

  1. Open the plugin installer. In WordPress admin, go to Plugins -> Add New.
  1. Add Fuzzy. Either search for the plugin by name in the directory, or, if
  2. you have the plugin ZIP, choose Upload Plugin and select the file.

  1. Install. Select Install Now and wait for WordPress to finish.
  1. Activate. Select Activate. A Fuzzy entry now appears in the admin
  2. menu. This is where you build and manage filters.

Expected result

  • Fuzzy is listed as an active plugin under Plugins.
  • A Fuzzy menu item is available in the WordPress admin sidebar.
  • Opening it shows the filter builder, ready for your first filter.

If something is wrong

  • No Fuzzy menu after activation. Confirm the plugin shows as *Active* under
  • Plugins, then reload the admin page.

  • A notice about WooCommerce. Fuzzy filters WooCommerce products, so
  • WooCommerce must be installed and active first. Activate WooCommerce, then Fuzzy.

Next

  • Continue with Create your first WooCommerce product filter to build, place,
  • and test a working filter.
